History

2013-2014: AudioVisual & Lighting Systems for the Malta Opera House, completion within 2013, AudioVisual Projects for the New Maltese Parliament and Frame Contract Agreements with the European Commission for the supply of AudioVisual, IT Systems and Services in Brussels. AudioVisual & Title Systems for Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and Digital Systems for the Greek National Opera. Further contracts for Ethiopian TV Networks and negotiations for turnkey projects in abroad.

2009-2012: Telmaco installs Audiovisual Systems for the Acropolis Restoration Service Org. Completes Audiovisual and Lighting project for the new Cultural Centre of the Onassis Foundation. Various Audiovisual Museum installations: Thermopiles Historic Center, Thessaloniki Museum of Cinema, etc. Major Turn-Key TV projects: Sigma TV relocation, New Kontra Channel (KMG) TV station, Antenna TV’s Continuity and Multichannel Playout, Athens Concert Hall’s Video Archive System, STAR Central Greece DVB-T, OTE’s and Digea’s monitoring systems. Various WebTV systems. Major Turnkey Projects: AudioVisual & Lighting Systems for the National Theatre of Bahrain & Malta’s Parliament and Broadcasting Systems for Ethiopian TV Networks.

2007-2008: Telmaco undertakes AudioVisual Systems for the Athens Concert Hall expansion. Large Turnkey Relocation project of STAR Channel. Telmaco is the leader in Tapeless Television production systems with several installations. Completes NOVA’s Tapeless Production, Playout and Archive system. State-of-the-art audiovisual and lighting systems for the “THEATRON” & “THOLOS” of FHW, National Bank of Greece & new NOC/VOC control room for OTE. The Company wins major project for the upgrade of OTE’s Contribution and Distribution TV Network.

2005-2006: Telmaco provides equipment and services to Greek State TV (ERT) to build new digital playout facilities for all channels of ERT including three (3) new digital terrestrial channels. Also, supplies & installs special audiovisual equipent in "THOLOS" (dome-shaped virtual reality theatre) of the Foundation of the Hellenic World and designs & installs audiovisual equipment in the C4I Administration Centre in Doha Qatar for the 2006 Asian Games.

2004: Participation as Supplier and Service Provider to Athens 2004, completion of three new regional digital TV stations and enhancement of satellite services for Nova. Completion of the construction of the Planetarium, Large Format Theater & Simulation Hall of the Thessaloniki Technology Museum. Equipment for the C4I Security Project. Installation of numerous Control Rooms and LED Walls. Delivery of OB Vans.

2000-2003: Major high-technology expansion TV & AV project for Athens Concert Hall. Major contracts for Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, Alter TV, Filmnet and others. First server-based networked Editing System supplied. The company starts preparations for Athens Olympic Games support. Technical collaboration with Athens Olympic Broadcasting (AOB) and Athens 2004 Committee.

1998-1999: Major installations for Filmnet-Nova, as satellite Pay-TV starts operation in Greece. Installation of the largest Display Wall in Greece in the National Control Room of OTE.

1997-1998: Broadcast and Audiovisual Divisions play major role in IAAF championships. AV Division completes major contracts for theatres, conference facilities, cinemas and stadiums. Major projection system contracts.

1995-1996: Turnkey contract for hi-tech widescreen digital production facility for the Athens Concert Hall won against international competition. Major contract for upgrade of State TV (ERT-3) in Thessaloniki. Investment in AV Division and consultancy. RF Division completes large antenna project for State TV.

1992-1994: Telmaco moves to larger premises and further invests in the Broadcasting Division to win contracts for Post Production, a number of major TV stations and various digital Production Studios.

1989-1991: Telmaco forms new specialized Broadcasting Division and assists in construction of Antenna TV. Also undertakes the first large post production studio. First OB Vans construction for the State Broadcaster. (ERT). RF Division established and wins major contracts.

1981-1988: Major contracts including Athens Hippodrome, Irinis & Filias Stadium, Production and Post Production studios. New international broadcast Business Partners (incl. Ikegami, Grass Valley Group, Vinten, Abekas, Aston and others).

1975: Telmaco S.A formed to service Greek Industry and New Technologies. Major contracts with OTE (Hellenic Telecommunications Organization).
