Who is NBC Ethiopia

NBC Ethiopia is a new Private Free-to-Air TV Channel, operating in Ethiopia. It has a general entertainment and news program, targeted to all families of Ethiopia. The TV Channel is based in the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.

Project Description 2020-2022

During 2020, National Media SC, following an RFP procedure, awarded to Telmaco the complete turn-key TV Projects for the broadcast studio infrastructure of the new TV Channel. In addition, a few months later, the satellite uplink system was also awarded to Telmaco.

Analytically, Telmaco was awarded to deliver the following turn-key parts:

  • Complete 3-camera HD TV Studio infrastructure
  • Studio Control Room
  • Avid News Production System including ingest and Studio Playout
  • Digital Archive System with LTO tape library
  • Master Control infrastructure
  • Continuity Master Control Program Playout System.
  • Aviwest Mobile News Gathering System
  • Vislink Satellite Uplink System

The Total Project Value was 1,034,400 €.
